|{ Analyze Me (Well My Blog Anyway) }|

So I've been thinking about what makes blogs popular and wondering what I could do to make mine more interesting to general readers.

Are my posts too long?

Do I have too many photos?

Are my posts too centered around just my life so they are uninteresting?


Also, I would really like to add links to my blog so it can more easily be navigated, links like the ones they have at The Art Of Making A Baby and Rockstar Diaries.  I want to make my blog more accessible and professional looking in that way.

I would like to do giveaway's sometimes as well but I have no earthy idea how to even go about doing that...



I could definitely use some honest opinions and tips here, I won't be offended!  I would really be grateful for any tips and constructive criticism.

New Header...Again

So I changed my header picture again! Are you surprised?! I'm not! As much as I always think I'll keep the one I have I tend to get bored with it and change it up.

As much I as I think this one might stay for good, I won't really count on it; however, I did make this one with the intention of changing it often so that might be just what I needed!!

So the plan is to change out the pictures with the most recently ones. We do a lot of 'self pictures' and I am planning to only use self pictures when I change them.  Other pictures of us can go in the sidebars!

I will also be changing the background.  Since it's finally getting cold and it's NOVEMBER!! YAY!! I decided to do snowflakes for now.  When December comes I can change it something Christmas-y like ornaments or something.  It'll be fun! I'm excited!! :)

Also, speaking of Christmas, some people make me sad!! I don't know why every year we have to get all the ornery people complaining about people singing Christmas music or hearing it on the radio or in the stores or whatever.  I guess maybe I can understand if you don't celebrate Christmas, but otherwise the excuse 'I get sick of hearing it' is just ludicrous to me!!  Christmastime is the best time of the year and I vote that we take advantage of it as much as we can!! :) I mean, what other time of the year do you find people just happy and enjoying their loved ones, why can't we just wrap ourselves up in and enjoy all of it!? :) :) :) Personally, I never get tired of Christmas music, but if you do then don't listen to it! There are plenty of other radio stations to listen to.

So don't be a hater, enjoy the Holidays! That's what they are for!

That's all for my little rant, haha! :) p.s. Since obviously it's hard to express emotion on the internet, I wanted to point out that my silly 'rant' was not said in an 'angry/irritated' tone, but a 'happy/you people are so silly' tone! :)

All Is Love

I found this great blog yesterday called Gwen in Love.  It's definitely a good one! The new button I just put up (see below to the left) is from her site.  Her blog is "An old fashioned girl's guide to love, marriage, and rockin' hot sex."  I really like it and she posted this video on her blog that I just had to share.  I think is SO cute and how much fun would it be to do this with your honey?

Beautiful Photos with The Paper Mama

This week I found this awesome blog called The Paper Mama and  Paper Heart Camera!!

I REALLY love it because she has a lot of fun photoshop ideas, tutorials, lots of great before and afters, and photography tips and I just love how her pictures turn out!  They are beautiful!! She also has lots of fun contests too! I am still trying to get the hang of my new photoshop program.  Between work and time with the husband I am struggling to find time.  I really want to get super good at it though and always post pictures that look as good as these!!!

Definitely check out her blog!! It is so much fun!!! 

New Name

Hey!

So I finally decided on a new name for the blog!!!

I ended up going with LoveStruck for a few different reasons!

The first is that it actually comes from the AC/DC song Thunderstruck.  I love this song, but Jon ADORES it!!! For what seems like forever he randomly starts singing this song...usually in the middle of the night when I'm trying to fall asleep.  It kind of drives me crazy, only because he starts singing it from the beginning... the 'noises' they make for singing any words, that is usually the part he sings.  It's funny now because it has really become apart of us, but it used to drive me up the wall!! What a dork!!



We also super LOVE Lady Gaga and she has a song called Starstruck! So that incorporates a little of us as well!!



I'm excited for the new changes!! I plan on starting my new posts next week!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, I won't be posting anything because I will camping with my hubby for my birthday!!

New Additions (PLEASE HELP)

I am so excited!! Today I had my first comment by someone I didn't know! And then to make it better I got a second comment and a new follower!!! Welcome Miss JMay!!

So I am really working on fixing up this little blog of mine and making is super fun and pretty and all that so that it will be pretty much awesome!! Eventually I think it would be fun to start doing Giveaways!!! Though I have no idea how to do that yet... It's definitely a goal!!

Also, I REALLY need your guys help!!

Should I change the name of the blog or do you like Peterson and Co.? I can't decide!! Let me know! I am struggling to think of other thoughts, so far I have 'The Mrs. and her Mr.' and 'Lovestruck' (maybe with a lightening bolt through it or something). I want to make sure it something that really represents Jon and I!! Please comment!! I need help!!

Lastly, if any one has any tips on how to redecorate my blog and make it look super cute and inviting, please let me know!

Peterson & Co. Anniversary

As of yesterday, my blog is 1 year old!! I can't believe it's been a whole year and 67 posts already!! I love my blog SO much and it's been a fun year!!

I wanted to blog about this yesterday but my computer caught a virus and spent all day getting better. I am SO grateful for my father-in-law who spent all day fixing it! He's the greatest! He does so much for us! Thanks Dad P.!

So now my computer is all better! Thank goodness! It is really hard to get a job that I need my computer for when it's not working. It's a big relief to have it back, safe and sound!

Today has been a great day!!! Jon took me on a date!! We went to Costco and they had Super Bowl samples!! It was awesome fun! Then he took me to Orson Gygi!! It was SO MUCH FUN!! We both just LOVE kitchen stuff and we got to see all sorts of fun kitchen gadgets!! They also had a showroom with a bunch of kitchens and it ROCKED!!!!!! It is always so fun to dream about what we want for our future home! Best dates! We saw some of the most AWESOME things!! It was very exciting!! I just love my husband to pieces! He knows me so well and it's so nice that we have so many things in common that we love and enjoy! He is the best husband ever!!

I made Roasted Garlic last night and for the first time I found out what it's like to eat too much garlic! It tasted amazing but garlic really lingers. My breath still smelled like garlic in the morning, even after brushing my teeth multiple times! Crazy! Anyway, the garlic rocked!

Design Dazzle

I really love this website! I follow it like crazy! It has so many cute ideas! I've been really interested in all sorts of design lately, especially nursery design, yes, I'm still really anxious for a baby! It is so fun to read and follow, I also love how it gets ideas from other blogs, I think that's great and then from it I get even MORE ideas! So much fun!!

Granted, the main reason I am blogging about this it totally selfish, I'm trying to enter a contest, but I am still being totally honest about and it only makes me get to share such a good blog with the wonderful people who read my blog! I love you all!
